Pen Power – Interclass English Writing Event (Grades 7 & 8)

The English Department successfully conducted Pen Power, an interclass English writing event for students of Grades 7 and 8 on 9 July 2026. The event provided young writers with an engaging platform to express their creativity, imagination and language skills through original writing. Grade 7 students enthusiastically crafted imaginative dialogues, bringing everyday objects and historical figures to life through meaningful and humorous conversations. Grade 8 students showcased their wit and poetic flair by composing humorous poems filled with vivid imagery, rhythm and originality. The event encouraged students to think critically, communicate creatively and experiment with language while adhering to the conventions of different writing forms. It also nurtured confidence in self-expression, strengthened vocabulary and reinforced the importance of audience, tone and purpose in writing. Pen Power proved to be a joyful celebration of creativity and learning, inspiring students to discover the power of words while fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of writing.

Grade XI – Internship

REPORT ON GRADE XI INTERNSHIP Exploring Passions, Shaping Futures! A spirit of curiosity, ambition, and real-world learning defined the two-week Internship Programme undertaken by our Grade XI students from 18–30 May 2026. Engaging with professionals across diverse fields such as Law, Medicine, Art & Fashion, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Business, and Entrepreneurship, students gained valuable first-hand exposure to workplace environments and industry practices. The experience enabled them to develop essential life skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional responsibility, while deepening their understanding of potential career pathways. Through meaningful mentorship and hands-on learning, students discovered new interests, strengthened existing aspirations, and gained confidence in their future goals. This enriching journey successfully connected classroom learning with real-world experiences, preparing our students to become informed, capable, and future-ready global citizens.

REPORT ON SESSION BY SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS GRADES XI-XII A career guidance session was conducted for students of Grades XI and XII by Ms Aditi Khurana, representing the School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York, on 14 July. The session introduced students to a wide range of career opportunities in the creative fields, including visual arts, design, animation, illustration, filmmaking, and digital media. She provided valuable insights into SVA’s academic programmes, admissions process, portfolio development, and scholarship opportunities. She also highlighted the importance of creativity, innovation, and skill-building in preparing for careers in the rapidly evolving creative industry. The interactive session encouraged students to explore their artistic interests and gain a deeper understanding of international higher education opportunities. It was a highly enriching experience that inspired students to consider creative disciplines as promising and rewarding career pathways.

Shadows, Stories, and Smiles

Shadows, Stories, and Smiles A glowing screen and dancing shadows turned a Hindi lesson into a magical learning experience as children explored the vyanjan ढ through shadow storytelling. As the story unfolded, learners heard and saw words beginning with ढ, helping them connect with the sound and letter in a meaningful and engaging way. The captivating visuals and expressive narration kept children curious and involved throughout the session. They eagerly listened, identified familiar words, and enthusiastically took part in discussions, making the learning experience both interactive and enjoyable. Beyond letter recognition, the activity strengthened listening skills, vocabulary, and imagination. Most importantly, it showed children that learning can be joyful, creative, and full of wonder. The smiles, excitement, and active participation reflected how much they enjoyed this unique approach to language learning, leaving them eager for many more stories to come.

Turncoat Debate – Hindi

REPORT ON INTER-HOUSE TURNCOAT HINDI DEBATE COMPETITION The Inter-House Turncoat Debate Competition (Hindi) for students of Grades IX–XII was held on 13 July 2026, providing a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their public speaking, critical thinking, and spontaneity. Participants debated both sides of a topic, showcasing their ability to present balanced and convincing arguments. The competition featured contemporary topics such as Can AI Replace Traditional Teaching? An Ageing Population: Asset or Liability? The Importance of Community Service among School Students, and Demographic Changes and Their Impact on Society. Students impressed the audience with their confidence, eloquence, and well-reasoned perspectives. The event concluded on a high note, celebrating the participants’ analytical skills, presence of mind, and ability to appreciate multiple viewpoints, making it a truly enriching learning experience.
