Teacher Workshop on Regenerative Educational Framework: Impact on Classroom Practice
Conducted by Ms Soumi Duttagupta
Regenerative Learning & Leadership Consultant
Date: 1st & 2nd April 2026
Teachers recently participated in a workshop on regenerative thinking, which emphasized the idea that humans are not separate from the environment but an integral part of it. The session encouraged educators to rethink teaching approaches and adopt practices that nurture ecological awareness, responsibility, and interconnectedness among students.
Through this workshop, teachers gained practical strategies to bring real-world environmental contexts into the classroom. Lessons can now be designed to help students understand how their daily choices impact the ecosystem, fostering a sense of care and accountability. Activities such as observation, reflection, collaborative projects, and problem-solving enable students to connect deeply with nature and recognize their role in sustaining it.
The benefits in the classroom are significant. Students become more sensitive, aware, and mindful of their surroundings. They begin to see themselves as contributors to the health of the planet rather than separate entities. This shift in perspective helps in moulding a generation that is empathetic, informed, and committed to creating a balanced and regenerative future.

Conducted by Ms Tanya
Teachers attended a workshop on ATL (Approaches to Learning), focusing on developing essential skills such as thinking, communication, social, self-management, and research skills among students. The session highlighted practical strategies to integrate these skills into everyday classroom teaching.
Through this workshop, teachers are better equipped to design engaging, student-centred learning experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. This approach helps nurture independent, confident, and reflective learners prepared for lifelong learning.
