Habitat Cares Helps Parents Decode the World of Gen Alpha

Under the Habitat Cares initiative, the school counselling team ran an interactive workshop for Grade V and VI parents titled “Do You Speak Gen Alpha? Understanding their world, decoding their slang, and building meaningful relationships with your child. The session encouraged parents to move from judgement to curiosity, offering practical conversation starters and tools to distinguish normal language exploration from genuine online red flags, with an emphasis on listening, humour, and showing real interest in children’s experiences.
