Pen Power – Interclass English Writing Event (Grades 7 & 8)

The English Department successfully conducted Pen Power, an interclass English writing event for students of Grades 7 and 8 on 9 July 2026. The event provided young writers with an engaging platform to express their creativity, imagination and language skills through original writing.

Grade 7 students enthusiastically crafted imaginative dialogues, bringing everyday objects and historical figures to life through meaningful and humorous conversations. Grade 8 students showcased their wit and poetic flair by composing humorous poems filled with vivid imagery, rhythm and originality. The event encouraged students to think critically, communicate creatively and experiment with language while adhering to the conventions of different writing forms. It also nurtured confidence in self-expression, strengthened vocabulary and reinforced the importance of audience, tone and purpose in writing.

Pen Power proved to be a joyful celebration of creativity and learning, inspiring students to discover the power of words while fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of writing.
