Designing Engaging Classrooms: Lesson planning and assessment for learning
The workshop, conducted on 12 May 2026 at Vasant Valley School by the Vasant Valley Centre for Excellence in Education, was marked by enthusiastic participation, thoughtful reflections, and engaging discussions among educators throughout the day.
The session provided teachers with valuable insights into designing effective learning experiences and emphasized the vital role assessments play in enhancing student learning outcomes. Different types of assessments were discussed in detail, enabling participants to better understand their practical implementation within classroom settings.
Additionally, educators were introduced to a variety of interactive activities and ice-breaker strategies that can be incorporated into classrooms to encourage student engagement, collaboration, and more impactful teaching practices.
The workshop offered meaningful perspectives and practical approaches that educators can confidently carry forward into their teaching journeys.
