Students Learn Healthy Choices Through Sugar Awareness Program
Aug 2025 | Day to Day Activity
Awareness sessions were conducted for students of Grades III to XII by the school doctor, focusing on the harmful effects of excessive sugar consumption, particularly from sweetened beverages and processed foods. Students were guided to make healthier, sugar-smart choices and were informed about how high sugar intake can lead to various health issues.
To reinforce the learning, Awareness Bulletin Boards were set up across the school by students of Grades III to XII, featuring informative posters, charts, and creative displays on hidden sugars and healthier alternatives.
A special session during the school assembly was also conducted by the school doctor, where students were made aware of the lifestyle diseases caused by excessive sugar and the importance of mindful eating habits.
In addition, students of Grades III to V participated in fun and interactive activities that promoted healthy food choices over sugary favourites, helping them internalize the message through experiential learning.
